Day 22- Christmas Eve

It’s here.  It’s finally here.  The kids are just about foaming at the mouth excited.  How excited are you?  Are you feeling frazzled, tired, stressed?  Try to remember what the holiday is all about, just like Linus in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, like Humphrey the camel in the children’s book, like the little drummer boy in the song.  We come tonight to honor him. So wear something special tonight.  Something you wouldn’t normally wear.  Tonight is a special night and please save the jeans for another occasion. I love this dress by Jessica Simpson-

Bubble Hem Dress on sale $70  It’s fancy and can be easily covered with a jacket or cardigan or say, a beautiful coat. Don’t forget some fancy heels.  Take those out of the box that you save for something special.  This is it.

Two Lips Ali Pumps at DSW $70 Don’t you just love all the fun textures on these pumps?  Such a simple shape but so much visual appeal! As I tell my kids on their way out the door each morning before school, remember whose you are.  You are a child of God.  “I play my best for him, so to honor him,” sings the little drummer boy. Humphrey covers the baby with his blanket, even though he has been cold, and kneels down before the baby Jesus. Linus puts it simply quoting Luke 8:14, “Sure, I can tell you what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown.  “‘8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill towards men.'” “…And that’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.” And that is why tonight and every day, we honor him.
