I was going to post this earlier but didn’t have time. Today is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Take a few minutes today to think of what this day stands for…a reminder of our human mortality, a sign of mourning and repentance. Today is a somber day for sure. “I turned to the Lord God, pleading in earnest prayer, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.” (Daniel 9:3) Below is pretty much the outfit I wore for my churches service tonight. Have you given something up for the next 40 days? If not, you can always add something in- add in more time with your family, time spent in Bible study, time helping your neighbor. Not to feel good about what you’ve done. But for the Spirit to work through you.
