TV Stand Re-redo (Part 1)

I painted the bottom of a VERY dated hutch awhile back to give it new life as a TV cabinet. I spray painted it because it was such terrible particle board and I was afraid I’d have to paint it multiple times.  The paint I used was a grey.  But after I brought it into the house and put it in its place, the grey looked a little purple.  Not so happy with the purple twinge.

So I knew it would only be a matter of time before it got another facelift.  This time the grey served as a base for the distressing process.  So I got to painting.

I chose a very happy and bright old pickup truck blue.  And I purchased it in a latex based paint.  After I painted the whole stand, and before it dried significantly, I lightly sanded the edges of the front, to reveal some of the grey.

Then I let it dry completely.
