If I Were…

a boy.  That was such a weird title, I didn’t think I could post it.

Thinking about how my fashion choices would be different and this was what I came up with for a menswear inspiration.  This was my take on a button-down with some loafers.  Guys have it so easy (and yet, their stuff is so boring).

The New Black

Isn’t it sad when you can remember when black was the new black?  It was everywhere and so was minimalism.

And just about every color has been the new black.  There’s been brown, aqua, cobalt blue, grey, shoot, even orange…

I picked today’s outfit based on a color I love that’s been really popular this year…orchid.  I think it’s a color that looks good on just about everyone.

So it’s my new black.

p.s.  Excuse the backpack and flip flops.  The backpack is what I found quickly to tote around the fair.  And the flip flops can be hosed off.  ‘Nuff said.

Not My Fav

This isn’t my favorite outfit in the world.  The theme was “oversize me” and I was trying to go with the oversized sweater and shorts look but just didn’t quite make the mark.  We’ll chalk this one up to limited wardrobe choices.  😉
