BSS- Roller Derby

As it is Beauty Shop Saturday, I thought I’d take a look around and see if there were any new products on the market for hot rollers.  I don’t always hot roll my hair, but it is the easiest way for me to get volume and long lasting curls quickly.  So I do use them a few times a week.  The ones I own are getting rather old and if they decide to die on me any day (or my daughter loses all of the clips, which make in fact happen), I’d like to know how I’m going to replace them. I’d love to try the Instyler.  What can I say, I’m a infomercial addict.  But at close to $100, I think that’s probably not a hot commodity on my list of must haves. A friend of mine says she relies on steam rollers, but I’m just not sure I’ve mastered that whole situation.  I’m sure the curl lasts longer and is probably WAY better for your hair than hot, but I always end up burning myself and get the curler too soggy.  🙁 Here are some hot roller sets I’ve been eyeing- It might be nice to splurge on a ceramic set.

XTreme Instant Heat Multisized Hot Rollers from Conair $42

I also don’t like the ones with these type of clips.  They tend to leave funny marks on the hair.

I’d also like some that heat up quickly.
