Oscars 2014

You have probably noticed that I try not to post many pictures of celebrities on my blog anymore.  I love to do copycat looks but I am still working on a copyright issue that I can’t seem to get resolved. And trust me, this girl doesn’t want to be sued.  So for now, I can only list my best/worst dressed. Even though a picture is worth a thousand words.  You all have access to Google and that’s the best I can do for now!!

After close to twentyfive tweets, I thought it best to start working on my best/worst dressed for the Oscars.  And I love being critical of others appearances while in my leggings wearing no makeup.

Here is my overall best dressed nominee (and so happy for her that she won!)-

Cate Blanchett in Armani- I love that she chooses things that are out of the box.  Even though she clearly got the neutral metallic memo, she stood out above the others.

Other dresses I enjoyed-

Portia de Rossi in Naeem Khan – I don’t know if this dress has embroidery or laser cut outs or what but I love its texture.  It looks so boho and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Lupita Nyong’o in Prada- I love that she wore blue.  And that it had pleats.

Kate Hudson in Versace- This dress looked amazing under the lights but I liked it more minus the cape. That was so Gwyneth a few years ago?

Sally Hawkins in Valentino- Because I adore the intricacy and the sleeves.

And here are the ladies who just didn’t cut the mustard-

Julie Delpy in Jenny Packham- Her dress just looked very ill-fitting.

Anna Kendrick in a J. Mendel gown- There was nothing I enjoyed about this one.

Anne Hathaway in Gucci- Did she fire a stylist?  She used to be able to own a look but she’s had some serious misses lately?

I hope you had a fun Oscar night!  I had a great time on Twitter!  Until next year!
