In order to bring you all things fabulous, I have been collaborating with my friend, LaRae from Wild Souls Weddings to bring you more frequent pictures of outfits and collections.

It is extremely hard to put myself out there, I really never intended to feature myself on my blog. But I am finding it necessary.

Thank you LaRae!

I am so over the cloudy days around here.  I mean, day number eight or something with no end in sight!  But the rain also makes me feel like getting my hands dirty in a garden and watching things grow.  Which translates to planting some potted plants and watching them slowly die in the summer sun.  I do not have a green thumb.  I have even managed to kill a succulent.  It can be done!  (They don’t like the heat from the fireplace much.  Just FYI.)

I would like to continue my spring trends post.  And I can’t believe how much the late 70s/early 80s are in this season.  I mean, most of the dresses look like prom dresses from that era- ruffles, cotton dresses with floral patterns and romantic little details.  You know very similar to this one-

Suddenly I’m smelling baby oil on sunburned skin and I have an overwhelming desire to break out the Doctor Scholl’s slides with the wooden bottoms.  I am totally dating myself here but I can remember when ladies used to deep condition their hair with mayo. And I would be playing dress up in some old flouncy dress (just like the ones on trend for spring) and some wooden clogs.  Ah, the early 80s were a good time!

I guess these trends are bringing me back to my childhood and not in an utterly disgusting kind of way- like the late 80s, early 90s.  I have had some time to miss them.

Here are a few fun options for spring-

Women’s Crochet Yoke Shift Dress by Xhilaration from Target, $24.99

Women’s Maxi Dress Petal Pink by Xhilaration from Target, $32.99

Women’s Floral Print Maxi Dress by Mossimo from Target, $29.99

Are you seeing the pattern here?  All I can say is, wow, girly, feminine looks are really back. My inner hippie is loving this as I think the boho trend is pushing most of these looks.  But there is something so nostalgic and familiar about this trend.

And for those of you born in the 90s or above, I’m sure this is exciting as it’s probably your first time through! 🙂

Spring is here! And thank goodness!! What’s in store for your spring wardrobe? I have a few ideas. First up, let’s find you a new pair of shoes. Anyone for a trip to Target?

Here are some beauties that I love-

These shoes- flats, booties, mules- whichever option you choose are your LBD of the shoe world. You can never go wrong. You will literally wear these shoes out with how much pavement they’ll see.

Did you spy a pair that you love? My questions is- how many is too many?

Never miss an update
