January, that is. We are over half-way through Before You Put That On by Lloyd Boston and this week in our calendar year, Lloyd gives us some help for the winter blahs. The first item this week I’d like to talk about is…winter clearance sales. Now is the time to be shopping for winter coats, scarves, hats, gloves. Now is also the time to hit up sweaters and other cool weather ware. I know, I know, it isn’t what you want to buy right now. You want to think about spring and fun colors and florals and sandals. But if there was an item you didn’t want to splurge on this fall, now is the time to buy it and feel good about it. And then next fall, you’ll be so happy you did. The second item on this week’s agenda, bras. Take inventory now. It is almost Valentine’s Day, when most of the nation focuses on lingerie. What’s in your drawers? Are they “used-to-be-white-but-now-gray”? Do you have that black bra that’s a must have? Does your strapless really fit right? Go through them and be prepared to spend some money on a few new ones. The key is here, get rid of the old ones. Old bras need to go! I apologize that January is only half over. There just isn’t much to get us by. Here are some suggestions. Together, we’ll get through it!
