Falling for Fall- Daydreaming

This building downtown just calls my name. If I could own my own store, I would own this building.

This adorable little building sits on the corner of our mainstreet and has so much potential. Another one of my favorite spots. Chip and Jo would make this place into SOMETHING. I am telling ya.

But for now, I can only daydream about owning a store and what I would sell in it.

In this outfit, I paired a simple but super comfy green tshirt that has rolled short sleeves ($24) with a pair of my own riped up jeans and cowboy boots. A few pops of turquoise accents and some fun feather earrings from Steph's Boutique ($9) complete the look.

Here I added my own puffy vest to make this outfit wearable when it's chilly. While puffy vests have been around awhile, they are still a fun option for adding another layer and a little something more to a pretty basic outfit. Don't be donating those just yet!

Falling for Fall- Cozy Up to a Good Book

I have always been a bookworm and it's something that I've really fallen away from. (Hello- four kids + all the activities= zero mom time). By the time I flop into bed at night, all I want to do is mindlessly scroll through Facebook one more time and pass out. (Just being honest.)

But I want to be more intentional with my life and so lately, even if it's only a non fiction book, I am trying to get back into reading more.

And that leads to me one of my favorite places in town, our local library. In another life, I owned a bookstore. I love the smell of books and seeing walls lines with books. I can totally relate to Beauty and the Beast's moment when the Beast introduces Belle to his library. Wowza. If you aren't a book person, you just don't get it.

So I had to snap a few pictures at our library because when it's cold or rainy out this fall, stop in a pick up a good book. Put the phone down and go somewhere in your mind!

This little nook in the back is such an adorable spot. And I'm wearing home tunic ($25) from Steph's Boutique paired with my own jeans and tennies. With a bag full of books that are probably overdue at the library.

Falling for Fall- A New Shoot

Oh how I heart fall. The cool weather is my spirit animal. So it's time to showcase a few fall fashions for you and I've partnered with another store full of cuteness in town- Steph's Boutique. All this week I will show you how to style her pieces with your own for some fun fall fashion!

I had a great time with my friend, LaRae from Wild Soul Weddings, shooting on the hottest day of the fall. No doubt, it was hot, windy and felt anything like fall. I pressed on so that you, my dear reader, would be able to see all of the awesome fashion!

We shot our pictures at all my favorites in town- places that are so beautiful or quaint or special to me. I hope you enjoy!

For my first outfit, we visited our courthouse gazebo. This is what makes small towns so awesome. It's a gathering place for bands and activities, announcements and events. It's pretty amazing to have this piece of nostalgia right here in our hometown.
