Enter With A Happy Heart

The time has come to say goodbye to an era.  And since I’m getting all “nostalgic” (if you think this is bad, just wait until tomorrow night), I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite places in the world-

This is where my day begins (and sometimes ends).  Maybe that’s TMI, but this is one place I’m going to miss TREMENDOUSLY.  Long enough to stretch out from head to toe but also long enough to house three kids at once and a whole lot of splashing, it’s my little getaway from real life.

This room is basically where my children grew up.  Now all that is left is some wicker furniture but it used to house mainly toys.  And in the summertime, the front porch was a great place to play, watch a Thomas video and eat a hot dog.

Every one of my babies was in this swing.  I can’t write anymore than that.  (Sniff, sniff.)

Only a recent addition to the family, it was a popular place.  Babies banged on it and Christmas carols were song on it.  And lessons began here.  If you love music, you know it can be the heart of your home.

My perch.  Such a nice place to sit and watch kids ride bikes and play catch.  And at about three o’clock, it is in the shade.

I know it doesn’t look like much but a dumpy old spilled-on chair, but this chair has seen many a long night, nursed newborn babies, soothed them when they were sick and heard countless fairy tales.  The nursery rocker is a comfort to not only child but also mommy. Here is where my day always ends.

Two of these favorite places get to start all over again and make new memories in a new place.  And the rest will be forever stamped on my heart.  I hope the new owner will always know it is definitely a place to Enter With A Happy Heart.
